SUMMARY

Managerial Position responsible for the direction of program activities and personnel in pursuit of service delivery to assigned named members and their families in compliance with all organization, contractual and provider organization obligations.  Primary responsibilities include oversight of Family Based Mental Health operating teams and programs, compliance with appertaining regulations and contracts, program development and continuous improvement and innovation within the programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and oversee daily program operations of Laurel Life FBMHS programs; including collecting weekly/monthly statistics, interpreting data, assisting/supporting program staff as indicatedso as tofacilitate completion of program goals.

  • Standardize individual program operations, develop program policies and update program operational manuals.

  • Monitor and ensure program compliance with PA statutes, program regulations, and contract provisions; participate in licensing procedures. 

  • Personnel management includes determination of staffing needs, interviewing and selecting potential staff, providing performance feedback, provision of progressive discipline as required.

  • Maintain open communication with State, County and contractual Behavioral Health Organizations; serve as a liaison between the Laurel Life FBMHS and the community.

  • Provide budgetary guidance and supervision to assure responsible financial adherence; to facilitateLaurel Life's maintenance of a strong financial position.

  • Oversee and coordinate provision of required training to staff as per individual and team needs.

  • Monitor and ensure proper record keeping and file security as per State and Federal regulations.

  • Attending clinical training at an approved family-based training center, and agency Clinical Management Team meetings, communicating the needs and interests of the 's operating teams to the organization.

  • Provide clinical supervision to teams including group, team, individual, and live supervision for a total of 3 hours.

  • Candidate will have to successfully complete and maintain certification of ESPI training. ESPI techniques are only used in compliance with Folium policy and procedure and within guidelines established by third-party experts in the proper and legal use of ESPI.

  • May perform other duties, activities or special projects as requested by the Regional Director.

  • Being available to FB teams 24/7 for case consultations and crisis events.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate directives to others.  Knowledge of clinical issues, treatment strategies and general administrative principles.  Ability to effectively supervise subordinates.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of clinical treatment principles, social service delivery systems, and family systems theory such as would be obtained through a Bachelor's or Master's degree, in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology. 

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of five years' experience in the social services preferably with children, adolescents and families with two years of supervisory experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a managerial position that is primarily performed in an office environment.  However, due to the nature of the services performed by the FBMH operational teams, the employee in this capacity may be required to visit children/adolescents and their families in their homes, the courtroom, schools, etc.  This is not a direct service provision position; however, in providing supervision and training to staff members, some direct service provision may be entailed.  There is some automobile travel required in this position.
