Job Title: Group Instructor of IBHS Group Services

SUMMARY
The Group Instructor works within the ABA Group Classroom treatment team delivering evidence-based treatment interventions to a small group of children attending the program. The Group Instructor will provide direct care under the Clinical Specialist and Lead Group Instructor, implement behavioral interventions in accordance with the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP), assist with group activities, maintain safety in all activities, document daily progress notes, set up for activities, and assist with any daily living skill deficits. The primary focus is to demonstrate skills that lead to improvement of an individual's behavior, decrease skills deficits, and promote emotional well-being within the ABA group program. The Group Instructor is a two day per week part- time position within the IBHS group setting. If desired, staff are eligible for additional hours in the IBHS setting.

Commitment to these principles in trauma treatment will be required through attendance in trainings and use of identified evidence-based practices. SKILLS
Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop effective and meaningful relationships with clients. Must be able to remain calm in a crisis situation, identify underlying causes of problem situations, resolve conflicts, and de-escalate potentially explosive situations. Must be a team player.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND
Qualifications must meet one of the following:
Group Instructor will have an updated Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 34 Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Background Check, and Act 31 CPSL Mandated Reporter Training prior to working alone with a child.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work setting is primarily within the classroom setting with the group building and may include participation in daily living skills such as toilet training and feeding/eating at mealtime. Additionally, the role can include, but not limited to, home, community, or extended or kinship family home. Working conditions involve physical activities such as sitting and/or kneeling, playing, standing, and other activities interacting with young clients.? Clientele may at times be verbally or physically abusive.
