We are currently seeking a PA Certified Teacher (PK-4, K-6, 4-8, 7-12) for our Huntingdon Area Middle School Transition Classroom. Candidates who are not certified but are willing to enroll in a teacher intern program are also eligible to apply. The selected candidate will become part of a team including a therapist and in class behavior coach. Small class size with a maximum of 15 middle school students. Teacher will be responsible for monitoring an online curriculum and/or providing direct instruction.
Responsibilities include:
· Individualized and group instruction
· Evaluation of student performance
· Team based student interventions
· Monitor online curriculum completion
· Participate in staff meetings, district meetings and parent communication
Requirements:
· A four-year degree from a college or university and a valid PA Teaching Certificate (Pre K-4, K-6, 4-8, 7-12) OR a willingness to enroll in a teacher intern program
· Attention to detail
· Positive, strong classroom management
