We are currently seeking a PA Certified Secondary Teacher in the West York Area School District – West York Area Middle School Transition Classroom. The selected candidate will become part of a team including a therapist and in class behavior coach. Teacher will teach a combination of direct instruction and monitor online-based curriculum.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of academic materials based on district curriculum
  • Monitoring of online curriculum
  • Individualized and group instruction
  • Evaluation of student performance
  • Team based student interventions
  • Participate in staff meetings, district meetings and parent communication

Requirements:

  • A four-year degree from a college or university and a valid PA Secondary Teaching Certificate (4-8 or 7-12) or (4-8) Teacher Intern Cert
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive, strong classroom management
