SUMMARY:Transition
Supervisor will provide direct support to transition classroom staff and school district contacts. Promote advanced understanding and application in Trauma Informed Care and Brain Resiliency. Maintain personal growth and improvement through established development goals.In addition to the details and requirements for the employee listed below, Laurel Life expects the employee be committed to incorporating principles of trauma informed care in all areas of service delivery. Commitment to these principles in trauma treatment will be required through attendance in trainings and use of identified evidence-based practices. Trauma informed care includes cultural sensitivity and emphasizes a safe and respectful environment for all clients and staff.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILLS
Maintains specific expertise in classroom management, Trauma Informed Care, and Brain Science Resiliency. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop effective and meaningful relationships with staff. Must be able to identify underlying causes of problem situations and recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods. Must be a team player.
EDUCATION
Thorough knowledge of behavior management techniques and crisis intervention skills as would be acquired through one of these requirements:
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work setting includes transition classrooms within several counties and school districts. Travel between these locations will be expected.
